SUAC UPDATE

Most of our residents would have noticed some changes at post 1. The main reason as to why the lights and sentry system has been shut down is the inability of SUAC to reach an agreement with Phase 4 on fair financial terms.

1) With post 3 closed 95% of the time, SUAC felt it was only fair that Phase 4 pays their fair share of the operational costs of post 1 & 2. Phase 4 pays for 36% of the operational costs of post 1 but pays zero for post 2.

2) While our guards at post 2 inform their guards of incoming cars to their streets, their guards at post 3 do not reciprocate. To this, they said, they will try their best. For 8 months, their guards have not notified our patrolling guards once of incoming cars. This is apparently their best.

3) We require a new walkie talkie for post 1 to function. We’ve asked for them to pay their 36% share. They have refused.

4) SUAC decided that supposed we bought the walkie talkie and just asked them to pay for the maintainance (new batteries etc). They refused. They claim that if we owned the walkie talkie, we should maintain it even though they gain from the use of it on a daily basis.

We could go on and on but I’m sure you get the picture. SUAC refuses to use our residents funds to subsidize the residents of phase 4. We must stand up for what is fair.

  1. I wonder what does it take for them (phase 4 people) to realize the cost per-member is affordable enough instead of taking the risk of not having security control within the area. We're already in 2012 but nothing can be done if people refuse to change. Sad...very sad.

  2. I guess there is two sides of the story... remember when we used to have poor security? Even I didnt pay.. Why should I pay for sleeping guards?

I guess we in Phase 3 are lucky as we have FIRM committees who 'crack the whip' so our guards do their job..

I heard it is the opposite in Phase 4.. Sleeping guards, regular break-ins, etc are the norm.. So.. not surprising not many houses paying I guess..
