Incident Update

SUAC regrets to inform our residents that we had a break-in earlier today at JSP 5/14. This particular house backs on to JSP 5/1 (our main road). The alarm was not armed and as such could not provide our guards any warning. So sorry...

  1. I too live at 5/14 with the back facing Jln SP 5/1. Did the burglar entered from the front or back?

  2. The burglar(s) entered from the back of the house (from JSP 5/1). SUAC is pleading with all residents who back on to main roads to exercise caution. Securing the back with a brick wall, barbed wire or something that is difficult to penetrate will deter such burglars. Also, please install and arm your alarm so as to give our guards a chance to stop such burglaries.

  3. Are the guards still patrolling JSP 5/1? I used to see them doing their rounds before, but not often these days.

  4. The guards used to patrol JSP5/1 when we were operating a patrolling only system. With the enhanced sentry system, the focus of the guards remains the tracking of each vehicle entering our streets without stickers. Our guards will patrol JSP 5/1 when there is little activity on our streets. SUAC wishes it could engage more guards to not only track each vehicle but also do more routine patrollling. Unfortunately, the reality of budget constraints prevents us from doing so. It is sad that after all thats been done by SUAC and the dedication and commitment shown by us, quite a number of residents refuse to contribute to the safety and betterment of our taman. On a brighter note, look out for our CCTV at Post 2 which will be installed some time next week....

  5. I understand the constraints SUAC is working against. However, SUAC is still doing a good job in spite of it. As a contributing member from day one (way back in 2005, when the first security measure was introduced)I'm really perplexed by the attitude of the non-contributing members of our taman. In my opinion, the present committee i.e. SUAC, is the most effective, responsive and responsible committee we had so far. If these people are still not convinced by all the measures and efforts put in by SUAC, unfortunately I think they are beyond redemption, and we might as well forget about them, and do the best with the available resources.

    Regards
